Kattholmen is a very small island about 12 km south-west of Strömstad with a spontaneous nude beach. It is part of the Saltö national park. Leave your car at the ticket car park and walk southwards for about 1 km through the woods. You will find the sign "NAKENBAD" painted on the rocks. Wade about 20 m to the island and very nice salt ocean bathes. Rock beach with no conveniences at all. Just the fresh ocean. Kattholmen is not suitable for small children. However, according a report 2011 there is a nice beach suitable for children just where you should start wading.

Fantastiskt fint ställe. Lätt att hitta till, lagom skön promenad från parkeringen. Fräscha toaletter finns precis innan man vadar över till Kattholmen. Vi hittade flera platser i lä fast det var en blåsig dag. En naturlig nedgång till vattnet för att doppa sig vad vi kunde se, på sydöstra sidan. I våra ögon inte lämpligt för barnfamiljer.

Saltø er nå en del av Kosters Nationalpark. Parkeringen er oppgradert, det er ny kiosk og toaletter (WC) tilrettelagt for handikappede. Godt kart og info om området også med snorkelsti. Fra stranden, langs vannet og videre vestover på Saltø er det flere fine plasser hvor en kan sole/bade uten klær og uten å skjenere noen. Eller hold til høyre i veikrysset ved info skiltet i skogen. Klipper og rullesten langs vannet.
